The ENCES/OAPEN Expert Workshop "Copyright and Open Access book publishing" took place at the University of Amsterdam on Monday, 15 February 2010. Copyright and Research Network in the UK
In the UK the Copyright and Research Network held its kick off meeting on 9 February 2010 at the British Library. The Network’s aim is to work towards common policy positions on copyright law (and related rights) in order to maximize access and reuse of knowledge in the digitally networked information society. On 15 February 2010 at 8.30 pm the participants of the Expert Workshop "Copyright and Open Access book publishing" decided unanimously in a local restaurant in Amsterdam to found ENCES as a registered non-profit association in accordance with German association law.
